Why am I sad, you may ask? Well.......... Celeste isn't coming home this Friday. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so sad. So sad. The poor girl, well actually the entire litter, got the runs a few days ago, and now they've been sentenced to stay at home for another 8 days while taking antibiotics. So I won't get my baby girl until NEXT Friday. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I can wait. Ahhh, the puppy breath!!! The puppy breath is calling me........ it says, "Come Jane! Come get me! Come smell me! I'm utterly irresistable!" And I agree. *sniffle*
I want my pug. NOW.

Oh no! But think of it this way...she'll learn more potty training at their house, instead of yours. *grins* So less clean up. ;)
Oh no...resist.. trust me.. resist!!! Puppy breath vs. puppy runny stool?? No contest. :)
On the upside, you know that the breeder is very good at taking care of their animals, so you'll be getting a perfectly healthy Celeste very soon!!
Jessie,
Well, yes - tis true I won't have to clean up as much. I remember when I got Babs at 7 weeks. Holy crap - those little stools were strong smelling stuff.
cinnkitty,
Yes, the breeder is great at taking care of her pugs - a lot better than the breeder I got Babs from. I'm lucky he turned out so great. :)
*grins* See. It was a definite plus then. Better her floor than yours. Puppy poop still smells foul. That hasn't changed. You haven't already got them, the little pee pads with paper over it? WONDERFUL for pugs. They can go pee on their own if it's an off time.
Jessie,
Oh yeah - I have those pads. Actually, I trained the pugger to go on those, since I'm not at the house regularly enough to be able to take him out to potty every two hours or so. And it would be cruel to make him wait 8 hours while I'm at work and school. I do like those, but the problem now is that he just will go on the pads. He doesn't understand that going outside in the yard is good too - better, really. Celeste is being trained to do both, so hopefully she'll teach him.
See, we found them accidentally and started using them about a year ago. Because Wrinkles is nearly 12 (well be tomorrow), and was nearly 11 at the time, and she needed to go whenever she had to. She couldn't wait on a schedule. We just throw the paper over it to absorb the pee, and she won't pee on a wet spot. So we have to throw more over it.
She will go outside because she likes to, but she actually prefers the pad. Shorter distance. Maybe he'll get jealous when Celeste goes outside and leaves him behind once. That could be a useful tool to try a couple times. And then you could take them both out after that. Cause royalty doesn't like being left behind.
Oh, the poor baby! Does the breeder know why they have the runs? It's better this way, too, so Babar doesn't catch it...
