Yes, SOOOOOOOOOO excited. For a while, I kinda forgot that she was coming home - I mean, a week is so long! Well, when I want something. I can barely wait a day. Instant gratification rocks purple striped socks. Yes, I know - I make no sense. I'm half asleep and I hate the class I'm currently sitting in, and I can't find anything to entertain me. So I'm blogging about my new pug. Celeste - ah, Celeste. Is that really a hard name to pronounce? Because I've had at least 2 people fumble it up. I guess for me it's easier, because being a Spanish speaker since I was a baby, Celeste is strikingly similar to the word "celeste" in Spanish, which means heavenly and light blue. And you pronounce it pretty much the same - except in Spanish you add a little "eh" after the Celeste part. And that's your Spanish lesson for today. Tee hee hee hee...
And now I leave you with one of my favorite new comics - Sheldon. The fella owns a pug and sometimes sketches up comic or two on how it is like to live with a dog without brains. Ha ha ha...

Celeste is really easy to pronounce in my opinion. It doesn't have any weird ' in the middle, or constants and no vowels. I'm so happy your puppy comes home tomorrow! Babs'll love it after a couple days of having to get used to not being the only. Maybe bring him a toy when she arrives or something. So he views her as a plus.
Dude, that comic was so true.
Jessie,
Yeah, I'm definitely bringing him a toy - actually, I think I'll be nice and buy him an entire roasted chicken and let him chow down. He LOVES chicken!
I'll just have to make sure to give them equal attention - or at least make sure that the BF or I are each petting one at the same time. Which will be so hard because - she's a puppy! With puppy breath! I must resist bowing down to her cutetitude! Ahh...I'll be fine.
What pug doesn't think chicken was made solely for them? I say get him a chicken and a toy. Not necessarily a big or expensive toy, but something you can use as a reward after a couple days of him letting you give Celeste attention and not be jealous.
It's gonna be hard not gooping attention on her. *grins* I know. But you can do it. Or Babs'll kill you in your sleep and frame up your boyfriend for the crime. Or Celeste. Or both.
Jessie,
Definitely agree with you about the chicken, but Babs takes it one step further and decides that anything we eat should be given to him first. It's impossible to cook around him, because all he does is sit at my feet and scream at me while I chop stuff. Little greedy bastard.
And yes, I'll be giving Celeste a wee bit more attention than Babs, but my excuse is that I'm trying to get her used to her new environment. :) I think I'll take both of them for long walks and playtime. Hopefully Babs won't kill her. Or me for that matter.
Yea!!!!! I'm happy for you and happy to see you so happy. Matter of fact, happy is just the word of the day. hee...hee..hee...

Oh, that's nothing. Trust me. My mom's pug? Totally had chicken and cheese for dinner most nights. I completely understand. And she still begs since we took her off the food. My mom's convinced she won't eat off the plate. I'm not.
You should take them out together and individually. You know, shake it up a bit and let Babs have some alone time with you. Maybe BF can stay with Celeste during that time?
cinnkitty,
Yep - happy is the word of today and tomorrow. Especially since I'm skipping a class I hate to pick her up. :) Yay! Argh, I'd rather work than study. If I'm going to get judged on my work product, I'd rather be getting paid for it than paying $50 grand a year to be graded. Ick.
Jessie,
Yeah, maybe I should spend some quality time with each - that actually might be a great idea. Didn't think of it, but thanks for suggesting it :) And I'm sure the BF won't mind spending alone time with Celeste - he has high hopes for her - hopes that were dashed when we got Babs. So now he expects her to be better. Ha! I'm not getting my hopes up - she is a pug after all.
The quality time will help, I think. Give him some positive associations, too. And maybe give him extra treats when being a good boy. Stuff to reinforce the positive aspects of Celeste's homecoming. Boyfriend is going to be disappointed. Pugs own your soul. Ask anyone owned by one. ;)
